ENSURE: WP3. Renewable nano-structured materials for energy and e-mobility applications
This WP is devoted to the first specific objective related to biomass (SO4), the characterisation of renewable materials (biomasses of different origin) as raw material for the production of char with nanostructure (activated carbon), and in its outstanding applications, three activities are planned.
WP3 Responsible: Cristóbal Cortés (CC).
Task 3.1 Pilot-scale laboratory experiments, with comprehensive analytical determination of properties.
Task 3.2 Development of a predictive model of the significant properties of activated carbon.
Task 3.3 Studies of direct and concomitant applications.
Implementation period: T1-T8.
Milestones and deliverables:
M3.1: A reliable and extrapolable model on biochar formation (T6).
M3.2: A experimentally validated model as the one proposed in M3.1 (T7).
D3.1: Theoretical report with the main challenges found in the modelling and research on biomass-based biochar (T7).
D3.2: Final report dealing with the biochar applications in the framework of the project (T8).
Participants: Cristóbal Cortés (CC), Antonia Gil (AG), Inmaculada Arauzo (IA), Javier Pallarés (JP).
